Install the Putlocker app on Android
Open Putlocker in Chrome, tap the menu and choose Add to Home screen, or accept the install banner when Chrome offers it. The app installs with the film-reel icon and opens full-screen without the browser bar, with your list, your country and your episode marks inside it. Updates arrive on their own each time you open it. There is no APK to hunt for and nothing to sideload: the app is the site, packaged for the phone.
Install on iPhone and iPad
Open Putlocker in Safari, tap the share button and choose Add to Home Screen. Safari is the browser Apple allows to install web apps, so use it for this step even if you browse in something else. The icon appears on the home screen and the app opens full-screen. Everything you saved in Safari carries over, because the app and the site share the same storage.
What the app does
Everything the site does, built for a phone first: search with title, director, starring, years and genres; new movies and featured titles; the years and the A-Z list; every series with seasons and episode dates; Reached this episode; My List with export and import; a country selector on every title page; and Watch now, which opens the service's own app when it is installed on the phone. Putlocker on a Fire TV Stick
The Fire TV Stick has a browser, Silk, and Putlocker works in it. Open Silk, type the address, and bookmark it. Search with the remote's keyboard or the voice button, open a title, choose the country once, and press Watch now: the title opens in the service's Fire TV app when that app is installed on the stick, which is where it plays in full HD. The same is true of Android TV, Google TV and most smart TVs with a browser.
The quicker route on any television is casting. Open the title on your phone, press Watch now, pick the service, and cast from the service's app to the TV. The phone becomes the remote and My List stays open in your hand.
Putlocker downloads
"Putlocker download" and "putlocker downloader" are searched by people who want to watch on a flight. The download lives inside the service you open with Watch now: most services download films and whole seasons to a phone or tablet in full HD, with the subtitle and audio tracks you chose, and keep them for weeks. Press Watch now, open the service, and use its download button. A browser extension calling itself a Putlocker downloader is somebody else's software and is not needed.
Keeping devices in step
My List is stored on each device. To carry it from phone to tablet, open My List, press Export, send yourself the file, and press Import on the other device. Marks and titles merge; nothing is overwritten.
